Bidrage med feedbackOver the years, I’ve continued returning to this place, as the food and the atmosphere never disappoints. The menu is a definite crowd pleaser. Book a table to avoid disappointment. <br/ <br/ (no booking, but good looking)
The Middle Eastern food here is quite westernized, but it's really tasty. I highly recommend trying the pides and pizza. The kebabs are good, but I do think the portions are a bit on the small side. I was surprised they don’t have lamb mince kebabs! The drink menu is great, and the ambiance is nice (although I do prefer the Brisbane location).
We also ordered the Moroccan spiced calamari with Turkish bean salad, which was absolutely delicious. The calamari was cooked to perfection, and the dish was bursting with flavor. The slow-cooked lamb pizza was delightful; the crust was crispy yet soft, and the meat was perfectly cooked. We loved the unique shape of the pizza! Lastly, we tried the seven roasted vegetable Moroccan tagine with couscous. It was good, but surprisingly it lacked a bit of flavor, even though all the vegetables were soft and tender. Overall, it was a fantastic evening. The food did not disappoint at all, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the service was excellent!
Somewhat traditional middle eastern menu and a small, but quality, wine list available. Delicious looking choices from calamari to tagines and typical salads available. We opted for a 7 vegetable tagine as well as lamb shanks with couscous. Our choices were rewarded with the complexity of flavours and spices that the cuisine promised. Knowledgeable and friendly staff advised and unobtrusively served the fare. The tagine was not spicy but dominant tomato flavours were apparent. A bed of small pearl couscous soaked up the juices. Lamb shank was a highlight with meltingly tender meat. The salsa, finely chopped parsley topping added to the senses and taste. A good experience overall.
Do you want the good news or the bad news? The bad news is the trio of dips for $15. Now I know I probably eat more than I should and I don't have the greatest grip of portion control but this is definitely not a generous serve and certainly not shareable between any more than 1.5 persons. That aside I found the menu selection extremely delicious sounding and it was quite a difficult task to settle on one. It was a toss up between Moroccan calamari, garlic chicken kebab and Tunisian salmon and the calamari won. It was really beautiful to experience something so delightfully different and I was really impressed with the variety and execution of the menu. We went for lunch during the week so it wasn't too busy but there was still great atmosphere. A very unique option for a meal on the Gold Coast
