Bidrage med feedbackWent out for a cocktail on the river, stayed the night. Howl at the moon has moved from Broadwater where it originally was, now it has an out door area over looking the river and a huge indoor entertaining area. The cocktails are well made and about usual prices for a cafe cum nightclub. We were made very welcome from the minute we arrived, our waiter was delightful and helpful. It was busy with two parties but we were served promptly and well. The food was fairly standard Cafe food of the Burgers, Pasta and Pizza range but was well presented and tasty. The Dance floor and live singers/pianists (2) kept us dancing and singing and had a great sense of fun. Such a fun night out!
Great place to meet up with friends, enjoy a drink, tapas and views of the river. Check times for opening hours.
We love to go out on a girls night to Howl at the Moon for a drink and dance. The atmosphere is easy and relaxed with fun music.
Terribly disappointed that we chose this place for our new years eve party. $20 at the door should have been refunded. Drink prices had been put up for the night, when I questioned bar staff about it I was told all places do this! Ladies toilets were flooded and out of use, to me this is a health risk and it should have closed for the night, but staff advised us the male toilets could be used by females or we could go to the next clubs toilets. The fireworks were very good though.
My group of 10 close friends and family, including some visiting from overseas, went to a restaurant in Surfers Paradise at 5pm on a Saturday for afternoon drinks. There were only a few other customers, a group of 10 guys, inside drinking beer. We sat near the bar with water views and ordered calamari for $16, which I had to pick up from the back of the restaurant when the buzzer rang. The portion seemed small and when I asked the floor manager, she agreed it wasn't worth $16 but said that's the price. They didn't offer to replace it. Despite there being plenty of staff, no one paid much attention to us. The group of guys nearby became rowdy and started swearing. A waitress then informed us that we needed to vacate our table by 6pm for a booking, without offering us another option or apologizing for the inconvenience. Overall, the experience was disappointing and it's not surprising that the restaurant doesn't have many customers.
