Frigg - Gold Coast

This is the best caesar salad I've had in a long time! Finally, someone who understands the importance of a coddled egg! We will definitely be returning. The atmosphere is also fantastic.

I went to meet a friend for morning coffee and cake. I had passed this cafe often and wanted to give it a go. I won’t be back. Service was very ordinary and there were no fresh cakes at all. Just a couple of muffins wrapped in plastic and banana bread which was just ok. They look like not made on-site. The grass was high and messy at front which did not give a good first opinion. and main road noisy( not their fault). I did not have a meal. Food served to next table did look nice.

Amazing breakfast! I adored the sauce that came with the savory minced meat. The atmosphere was vibrant and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely be returning and I highly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful experience. We came from Broadbeach to try it out. The waitress we had was awesome. We were provided a bowl of water for our dogs and the food came out relatively quick. I also thought that the bill at the end of our meal was reasonable. We will definitely return

If you believe all the hype and awards, this place should have been great. Instead, it was the worst breakfast experience I have had in 3 years on the coast. Visited on a fairly quiet day, with 2/3rds of the tables occupied, but most of the tables were eating. First was the bizarre situation with the covid check in. Militant to say the least. Ridiculous at best. Using same in and out door for arrival and departure (increasing personal contact! . A staff member pulling a plant stand over before you could enter, and then having to stand to complete the covid check in and show the details before being led to a table. Which hadn't been cleared. We waited 10 minutes to have our order taken poached eggs on toast and a toasted sandwich. And walked out 45 minutes later without being anywhere near receiving food on second enquiry (there were no updates was told it would be at least another 15 minutes. Food was overpriced but can make no comment about the quality as we didn't get to eat. The guy next to us got his food, sent it back and had it re made. Things weren't boding well. Would love to say the staff were friendly, but they weren't. Two young ladies who were completely harassed but no communication if there was a problem in the kitchen. We only saw two tables meals come out in 45 mins. We won't return.
