Fairways Grille - Gold Canyon

The food was enjoyable, but the service was inconsistent. The language coming from the bar was quite inappropriate, with constant use of profanity.

It's no surprise that everyone says the food is terrible; the cooks are clearly not in the right state of mind!

We had excellent service and delicious food when we visited on Saturday, April 29. The Stilettos were performing that night, so we arrived early to enjoy dinner before the band started, and stayed for an additional hour to listen to their music. I ordered the chicken fried steak dinner, and my husband opted for the liver and onions. It was the best chicken fried steak I’ve had in a long time, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his liver and onions dish. Both meals were served with potatoes and fresh green beans. We're thrilled to have another great dining option in Gold Canyon, and we will definitely return.

Where have the old owners gone? What has happened to this place? The broasted chicken was merely acceptable; you could find the same quality at any gas station. The menu seems to be the same as before, but the food preparation has significantly declined in quality. When we inquired about the new owners, the waitress pointed out a man at the bar who was loudly drinking beer, which was quite off-putting. He looked like he could use rehab soon. It’s clear they aren’t dedicated to running a successful restaurant. Relying on alcohol sales can’t be good for business. It’s unfortunate because G.C. deserves a respectable American fare restaurant.

I think it's time to give this restaurant another chance. The food is good and the service is solid. They may have faced some challenges during their transition, but I’m confident we will return. I visited again yesterday and was genuinely impressed by the improvements. It's great to have a reliable option nearby for us full-time residents.
