I really like the atmosphere at Zak and the restaurant. Comfortable and unpretentious. The menu offers a very wide range of food, from soups and salads, to German fare and pizzas. My friend had spring rolls as a starter and a meat dish as a...main, but the starter was huge. My salad with chicken was also very generously sized

Nicely located in downtown Göttingen, lots of students. Pure atmosphere, food was ok and not too expensive. Service was friendly and helpful

We had a very nice evening at the Z.A.K. with a large group of friends from Switzerland.Pros: 1. the portions are big enough that they have rest when they tend to take them, and the employees will gladly pack them for them.2 eating is hearty, saturating and tasty. I especially recommend "the pirate roast". (food card is named after famous films). 3. the restaurant is large, has many seating opportunities with sitting in summer and the facility is cozy and comfortable. 4. prices are low. the average eating for dinner costs between 10-15 euro 5. personal is friendly, efficient and menus are available in both English and German. 7. we immediately got a place, although we had no reservation.Other restaurants in the city have rejected us if we had no reservation,even if they had several tables clearly free.Contra: 1. they could not accept our visum or mastercard and even refused our local German bank card because the automat had failed.We had just offered to pick up the bill for our entire large group of friends it was quite natural, not so much cash. make sure they have enough cash to hand for their food!If this last part was not, I would give him 5 stars.
