Bidrage med feedbackGeneral After mild disease in search of new powers, my dear friend and I spontaneously decided to visit the symposium for warm food intake. We had already passed by Öfters and were unable to get through from the outside due to the unladen ambience. Today the attempt! Ambience and kitchen would have liked to let us become regular guests, unfortunately the service has paid so little attention to us that we will not come back! We entered the symposium through a small entrance and were kindly greeted by the owner and were allowed to choose a table in the large, but little filled guest room (10 guests. We were looking forward to an evening in a family business and, of course, awaited attentive service with a certain personal touch even with a small number of guests. The symposium appears like the grounded Greek, to which you have been going for years on weekends with constant quality and the kindness that you love on this Mediterranean little (including Greek duck etc.). We now studied the card and my friend chose how often a malt beer and I gönnte a glass of Imiglios (3.30 € and a small bottle of water. Unfortunately, the malt beer was out and my better half climbed to Ginger Ale. Imiglios was a white wine and a rosé on the map. Of course, I hadn't seen it explicitly again and got Rosé of course. It would have been nice if one had expected the inconvenience of the guests and asked what wine it should be. I didn't want to complain. Swallow over it. Our waiter was attentive, polite and flew in the matter until this time. The food was then served and asked if everything was okay. Until this time, we both were quite enthusiastic and thought we had found the nice Greeks near the barrel. While we enjoyed our Gyros, the owner sat behind us to the guests on the fourstory. Apparently regulars, friendly was chatted and laughed. Some time passed until he noticed our empty plates. For me too long! Especially if there are hardly any guests present! Suddenly, it seemed to him that there were other guests who had to be served. In flight, he removed the empty plates and quickly disappeared so that it was not even possible for us to order another drink, let alone demand the card again. The plates were quickly placed somewhere and he quickly returned to his favorite guests. In principle, I have nothing against a chat with regular guests (especially in a family business, but we wanted to order something else. The attention for us new guests seemed to continue to be delayed as the evening progresses. Here I have to mention once again that we were initially ten guests, which is more than good to handle alone, but now only less than six people. A young couple had quickly eaten a little bite and even had to call the waiter so that he came to the bargain. We felt neglected and that's exactly what I hate! We were on the best way to regularly look by, maybe even spend a whole evening with several people there (the food was finally good and then torpeded a so desinteressed gastronomic my ideas! The mood of my dear friend fell from minute to MInute, he wanted no more dessert, even no drink. Numbers and more not. After all, we've been sitting on the dry for quite a long time, nobody noticed, and it shouldn't change. Of course, the glasses had not been cleared. Kind of if you treat guests differently. We would have liked to have another dessert, maybe a wine or something else. Of course, we could have noticed, but with such a small number of guests, I expect the service to notice it. This also makes food going, not just the pure food intake! Only through calls and wild vocals could we draw attention to us. Apparently you don't need new regulars here. Bad! EC card payment was possible. For the cook I decided to make 1 € tip, he delivered a good performance. Too bad that the service became worse and worse during the evening. There was no proper account. It almost seemed as if the waiter had a bad conscience (maybe he could follow it from the hands of my dearest? when he invited us to the obligatory Ouzo on the counter. If the service remained constant as before, this restaurant might have two new regular guests. However, we felt neglected and reordered as the second choice of guests who were not even given the chance. Maybe I'll give another chance after a longer break. In view of the great diversity of Greeks in Göttingen, I do not know yet. The menu of the symposium is really huge! With small poems the individual foods are explained a nice idea and something else. Not only Greek dishes can be found, but also German classics such as Schnitzel etc. Unfortunately, such cards completely overwhelm me and we chose both then little innovative Gyros with Pommes, Zaziki, White Herb and Onion Rings at 11 €. We both decided against an appetizer. The two dishes were served a little later. What do you say? EIne fresh portion Gyros, appetizingly presented with crisp, non-fat pumice and white herb that even tasted me. Fresh, medium-sized portions a solid performance! Nothing to complain! As already mentioned, unfortunately we were no longer able to order further food or drinks. Too bad we would have eaten more! The kitchen is good! The Symposion is located in a side street and can easily be overlooked. The dark building does not seem inviting from the outside and we often wondered if we should test it or not. Finally, it is very convenient near my apartment. It is a family business that is probably visited by regular guests. The previous critics also reinforced this impression. At the beginning we were still ten, later the guest room was empty. When entering, the counter is on the right side. The large guest room is divided into different sizes by white columns. In the middle of the room was a large round arch, if I remember correctly. There were various green plants and Greek books on the window benches. I liked part of Süterlin! What really irritated me was the hole that stood between the decoration, as of course. The decoration didn't seem so clean and partly very old-fashioned. Cleanliness I did not visit the toilets, but somehow the restaurant did not seem so clean. But glasses and cutlery were clean.
Great food. Gyros with fresh garlic herbs is a poem. The boss of the shop is very friendly and makes everything possible. RECOMMENDATION!
