Maitland Country Club Dining - Goderich

The service was great, and the food was delicious. The variety of options was decent, and the portion sizes were just right for us, though those with bigger appetites might want a little more.

I stumbled upon this hidden gem a bit away from Uptown Square, and I have returned about 5 or 6 times since my first visit in the summer of 2021. The scavenger dish is amazing, along with several other items I’ve tried. One of the best features is that their terrace is pet-friendly, which is something that many restaurants in or near the square lack. I usually eat at the restaurants in Bayfield, as the whole village has pet-friendly terraces and a wide variety of delicious food to choose from. In any case, I highly recommend the River Run Restaurant for its excellent quality and great value.

It’s a very nice place to eat. The food was fantastic, and both the service and atmosphere were wonderful. However, I noticed that there is a challenge for those with disabilities, as the restrooms are located downstairs and require using the stairs.

We ate here on a hot summer night. it was as if you were back to an American dinner of the 1960s. they run down, worn carpets and dirty windows. the waitress greeted us with “have them a reservation?”.... the place was empty! and then a terse commanded: “no masks on the table!” that was ok, nothing special, we had the carving and a ruben sandwich. the A/C didn't work well, so it wasn't very comfortable. the prices were in the same row as other places in the city with much better decoration and service. the place could be so much more beautiful with clean windows and a makeover. the view of the river and the valley are beautiful. hopefully, the owners will use the site and the dinge a bit up.

We discovered this restaurant by chance and happy to know that there is a place where we can eat Schnitzels and other European dishes. We have to drive 30 minutes from where we live and it is always worth it. I am yet to try the famous fish and chips.
