Caffe Nero - Gloucester

The coffee seemed weak and tasteless and the scone was clear old and stale. if we hadn't hurry, we would have complained. the service was slow because the barely supervised training

A shocking experience! I went to use the toilet before getting a drink and was told by a man (probably the manager) that I could not use it when I was not a customer. I said I would buy something, but urgently needed the loo. I was told first, “not half an hour as I take the last time”, that I was there two days ago and that they were watching me! I have worked from home for the best part of 2 years and was not in this branch of nero for. I don't even know, at least a few years. So in the round I accused what to be the local drug dealer/Tramp!? I told him that I wasn't in there, he said again and again, I would have taken my mask away to prove that he was wrong and he just said okay and went away, no apologise for that I'm accusing to be gott knows what! apropos! could not rate zero star or I would have!

The drink was only half full and one of the drinks was incorrect (a milk and saw drink). It made me feel uncomfortable and sick. When I asked for the order to be corrected, the staff had a rude attitude and seemed annoyed. They kept asking about the missing drink instead of fixing both drinks. Even when the first replacement drink was also wrong.

A drink ordered here, was offered cream etc. but not informed that they were an additional price. so I had not enough money to pay, then they informed me that they did not even accept cash anyway! but there is no sign to inform the customer. I should have gone away and left the drink to waste, but I paid irresistibly with my card. it is safe against the law not to inform customers about these things before they buy. the girl was polite, but obviously needs to continue training.

This was a very busy cafe.It has a fair amount of seating,but you had to jump in quick when someone moved!The cafe has a very good atmosphere,with it's layout and furnishing.We had three teas at two pounds a pot and each had a cake.The cakes...were nice and we enjoyed our break here before continuing on our shopping trip.
