Salt Water Grille Pub - Gloucester

I enjoyed the seafood on penne, which I would rate a perfect 10 out of 10. The lobster roll also earned a 10 out of 10, and the tiramisu was equally impressive, again a 10 out of 10. I'm delighted that Salt Water Grille has reopened! The chef clearly knows how to prepare seafood—everything was cooked to perfection, with wonderful flavors. It was a fantastic Sunday, thanks to the excellent food. Now I’m ready to head home, relax, and enjoy some TV before drifting off to sleep!

We ordered a Margarita and a Manhattan, and for my friend, who is known for being quite discerning about drinks, to say something was perfect is a rarity. Normally, he always finds something to critique! Plus, my other friend, who usually only orders one drink, ended up having two Margaritas! She didn’t finish the second one because she got a little tipsy! To top it off, we learned that the owner was also the bartender. He stopped by at the end of our meal, and he was very pleasant. He mentioned that the restaurant is relatively new; it’s been open for less than eight months and had to close for a few months due to COVID-19. I highly recommend checking this place out; you won't be disappointed!

We had a fantastic first impression of this restaurant and absolutely loved it! The fish tacos, lobster roll, and clam chowder were all delicious. They also offer a good variety of beers and seltzers on tap. The service was friendly, with Cat being an excellent server and Jack, the bartender, being very kind. We’ll definitely come back if we’re in the area again. Thank you so much!

Best surprise of our time in Gloucester. We happened to see the place when looking for a place to eat. I had read reviews on it, so we decided to give it a try. We were seated right away. Our server, Cat, was over in a few moments and was very bubbly, informative and fun. She recommended drinks and answered questions with knowledge. She even changed our minds on the dessert we were going to with. She said both of the choices were very good but she liked the pistachio cake, so we tried something new. It was just perfect. Light and delicious! Thank you Salt Water Grille for your wonderful, place, server and food!

We had an amazing meal! When we saw the firecracker shrimp appetizer being served, it looked so tasty that we just had to give it a try—and we were not disappointed! There was plenty of fried food, but everything was light and delicious. The fried clams were a bit slimier than my son would have liked, but his shrimp, the scallops, and my husband's fish and chips were all perfectly fried and absolutely delightful! The chowder was an excellent example of New England cuisine, and my daughter had a side salad that will probably give me two more meals. I can’t say enough about how good everything was!
