Drift - Gloucester

I really enjoyed the cool jazzy music playing in the background. The drinks were fantastic, and the food was good as well. The views of the main streets and the water were quite relaxing. I highly recommend this place!

My wife grew up in Gloucester, and I lived there for quite some time as well. Fiesta is truly exceptional. We didn't want to join in on all the festivities, but we ended up at Drift early Friday evening. Everything was fine! We enjoyed a lovely view and the drinks were good. There was a bit of confusion, possibly due to a shift change, but overall it’s a great place!

While the drinks and music are great, and the location has a nice view for hanging out, it's not the best choice if you're really hungry. Here's a tip: Minglewood, right across the street, offers full plates at good prices, along with great drinks and music. I don’t work there—or at Drift! I'm just a local from Gloucester who used to frequent Drift and had to find a more affordable place with a similar vibe.

I visited DRIFT this weekend with my mom, aunt, and little cousin. I didn't realize it was a tapas restaurant, but we enjoyed a charcuterie board, and my mom and I ordered espresso martinis, which were fantastic. I also tried a tequila sunrise that was really good. I'm deducting two points from my rating because our server seemed a bit irritated with us, and the food was somewhat pricey. He might have been busy with other things, or perhaps we were just a bit annoying (though I hope that wasn't the case!). Overall, I would definitely consider going back with a group of girlfriends for a fun night out.

We called the night before and attempted to bring a party of 20 for drinks at 11:30, before the 1 AM closing time. We were told not to come. Lesson learned. I will be letting others know that this place should be avoided at all costs.
