Sista Mary's Soul Food - Glendale

Amazing! I ordered the short ripening with mac n cheese, crooked greens, and red beans and rice. my nabeby got the chicken po young, daughter got the soul salad and my other daughter got the chicken and red together waffeln (yes they offer different aromes of waffeln everyone was very satisfied with his eating, also myself. the waiter was spectacular and extremely accommodating for our family of six. the place was very clean and had a very cool mood. will definitely go back when family glendale visits again!

Tonight was my 1st time there I loved the food! From the warm sweet potato cornbread muffins to my crispy on the outside moist on the inside catfish with a side of greens red beans and rice I was delighted! I had a little taste of the fried chicken too...yum! We had a birthday dinner with my daughter’s co workers old friends at one of her favorite places and the service was excellent! Thank you!

Being from the South, I am always on the lookout for some good comfort food. I heard about this place from some coworkers, who all loved it. I was curious, so I gave it a try. I ordered the fried chicken, mac and cheese, and greens. The fried chicken was some of the best I've had in LA great flavor in the seasoning. The mac and cheese was great not too cheesy and good flavor. And last but certainly not least, the greens are the best I've had outside of the South. I would go back for the greens alone, but there's so many more menu items I really want to try. And to top it all off, everyone who works there is super nice.

I asked for fried chicken and they gave me lemon pepper chicken. Their sides taste like they’re cooked in the morning and warmed up when there’s an order.

When I came to the restaurant, it was empty, cold, and off to the corner was two lone speakers playing some groovy music that did not really fit with the interior decor (which might be described as a mismatch mixture between a tablecloth dining with sports tv in the background).. the food was subpar considering the price. We came for chicken and waffles but waffle mix ran out. smothered chicken came out with just 2 pieces and 3 small sides. The po'boy had just four pieces of shrimp with two pieces of romaine lettuce. the homemade chips tasted good though. It seems like most people order from here through food delivery apps. also, the restaurant was cash only. not sure if it was only for the day we came though..
