Bidrage med feedbackThere simply aren't enough food options available at this restaurant. While the food is decent, it doesn't justify the price. On a positive note, our waitress was fantastic—she was both funny and very attentive. The ambiance is also great; you can sit outside and enjoy your evening dining at Americana.
I ordered the Salmon A La Diabla and requested the chili sauce on the side. Unfortunately, the salmon was under-seasoned; this might be because they typically serve it with the chili sauce on top. I didn't enjoy the flavor of the chili sauce, so I opted for the salsa and green sauce that came with the chips instead. The rice accompanying my dish was subpar, and the asparagus was not cooked properly. My wife chose the chicken with mole, and she really liked her dish. The portion sizes are decent, so it was quite filling. My friend ordered the chile relleno and found it to be just okay—not particularly special. The prices for the dishes are on the higher side, especially for just one taco, but that’s understandable given the location at The Americana. My wife enjoyed a margarita while I had a Coke. Initially, our waitress was fine, but after we received our food, I didn't see her again to get a refill on my Coke. Overall, my rating is: Food: 3 stars—I didn't enjoy my dish, and considering the price, it didn't seem worth it. They do provide a generous amount of tortilla chips with the salsa. Service: 3.5 stars—the service wasn’t terrible, but it wasn't great either. Our waitress was nice, but she could have been more attentive to our table. Parking: 4 stars—they validate parking if you park near the restaurant, and there's also a parking structure across the street that offers 90 minutes free.
We only stopped by for a drink this time, but next time we'll definitely try the food. The service at the bar was prompt and welcoming. My Cadillac margarita was fresh and delicious, while my husband ordered tequila on the rocks. We're looking forward to tasting the food on our next visit!
The restaurant is nicely decorated. Lighting is aesthetically pleasing and the furniture is great. The bathrooms were nice as well with full body mirrors. We went for dinner around 6pm on a Tuesday and it wasn't busy at all. Service was awesome. The waiters kept checking on us and the hosts were nice. The menu we received was one sheet, two sides with the front side being all food and the back side all drinks. I only saw alcoholic drinks. I asked the waiter if they had strawberry lemonade as we didn't want alcohol. He said they could make it for us. I think they also have sodas but I didn't see the choices on the menu. I get the feeling its popular for nightlife eating, if you like going out for drinks it would be a great place to eat and drink. The food itself was decent. I'm mexican myself so I expected a bit more from it. Things that should be flavorful or spicy were a bit bland. If you don't like strong flavors you will be fine. I wanted more flavor. My refried beans seemed almost from a can. The steak was cooked perfectly but wasn't super flavorful. The guac was bland, so was the avocado dipping sauce our taquitos came with. The salsa wasn't spicy at all. The taquitos were yummy and all in all everything tasted clean. I wouldn't say it tasted like authentic mexican food but it also wasn't super fancy either. It felt a bit overpriced for how it tasted but the service and ambiance makes up for it a bit.
Okay this was not our first time to this restaurant! We have been here many times since we met here back in 2012! : every time we are at the LA Americana at Brand in Glendale we stop by and have something to eat or drink! The food is very good and the services excellent.
