El Pavo Bakery - Glendale

The baked goods at this restaurant are always delicious, although on the pricier side. I appreciate the personal touch of the staff assisting you in selecting your items from the display case. They have implemented good Covid-19 safety measures at the restaurant.

The restaurant was a bit too warm and could have benefitted from some air conditioning. However, it was still an enjoyable experience. It would be helpful if they labeled their desserts and bread so customers know what they are getting. The prices were reasonable and the menu items were easy to recognize. They also offered a variety of drinks including orange juice, Coca-Cola, and Sprite.

Each concha costs $1, which is on the pricier side, but unfortunately, some of the ones I got were stale, hard, and old. I won't be returning.

I tried the Almond tres leches cake and it was absolutely delicious. It was quite large for one person, so I ended up sharing it with my husband. The bakery had a wonderful selection of sweet breads and the owners were very kind to my niece, making our experience even more enjoyable.
