Bidrage med feedbackSometimes we are lured by the right garden centers of bargain facilities in supermarkets/dy stores, but a stop in glendoick has recently reminded me why we should support these garden centers. I had a tricky request for plants that were suitable for terrace pots, but were lined at this time of the year. it was a difficult question, but I spoke with ken and he came with a buddleia buzz that is a waterfall habit instead of the standard garden buddleias and the honey smell is amazing. he also proposed nemesia wisley vanilla. I have both bought and am very satisfied with them and the excellent customer service. good advice is unpaid. give this garden center a whirlpool. they will not be disappointed. ps I went back on Sunday and treated myself to beautiful sage green pots to my plants in. I thought they were really expensive for their ceramic pots, but they were very affordable. we then had tee and rose and pistachio cake in the coffee shop sitting in the sun. what is not to like!
Beautiful new café area, with Fab refreshments. beautiful sortiment an appreciate in the shop to choose from and helpful knowledgeable employees in the plant area. wonderful gardens to visit.
Loved the new decoration in caffe and thought the idea to divide the orders in hot food or simply cake and cuppa was good idea! I can't wait until the family room opens. also get beautiful Mother's Day plant! merci!
Hadn't been down to Glendoick Garden Centre for ages, but won't leave it so long for next visit. I approached a garden assistant just to point me in right direction of potential plants we'd considered. We discussed the particular point of suggested plant, and where it would be positioned. The assistant then went on to suggest other plants that would suit our purpose, and showed great knowledge of the plants/shrubs we should consider. The outcome was, we picked a rich burgundy foliage perennial plant that also flowers, but will give amazing colour and just the right height and spread for the area planted. Very impressed indeed. The restaurant was also a nice experience,......we'll be back soon, :
Visited today for the first time and was very impressed. The plant area was tidy, well organised with a good variety of plants for sale. With two young children, we particularly liked the new play area and bouncy castle, along with seating areas for the adults to watch while they enjoyed themselves. Helped by the sunshine and relaxed environment this let us spend almost three hours here. There was a good range of hot food and cakes available, although I struggled a bit with the layout of the restaurant what end to queue at and where to pay. This was only a minor inconvenience though and I'll definitely call in again soon.
