Bidrage med feedbackFor Australia this is a reasonable Indian take away but disappointing for an English person who is used to getting great takeaway Indian food. The main issue is inconsistency with the dishes. Order the same dish two weeks in a row and it can be completely different. If you are English do not expect a jalfrazi to be the same as you would receive in England for example. If you need an 'Indian fix' this will just about do it!
This is a cute cafe located in the heart of Elwood. It's the type of establishment where one can linger with friends and not feel pressured into buying more food. I had planned to meet a girlfriend for brunch, and decided to arrive early, as this cafe tends to be very busy in the mornings. The friendly staff recommended the dish of the day - pulled pork with poached eggs with hollandaise sauce. It was outstanding!!
Please don't get me wrong, the food is incredible - if you can get it. On my first visit (a Monday - not busy), I waited a full 30 minutes to order before I had to flag down a waiter. I decided to give it a go the following day (today - there is one other person in here) and today I wasn't even brought a menu until I flagged down a waiter and asked for one of the specials. I was told it wasn't available and she brought me a menu. After another significantly long wait I flagged down another waiter only to be told there was no pizza available either. Frustrated, I said no I didn't have a "plan B" and would just get my coffee. I was then informed that yes they COULD do pizza. What the hell? I'm sure it was just an innocent mistake, but this whole experience had not been the relaxing lunch I had in mind. If you want a frustrating, but yummy lunch, this place is for you. Not for me though, can't say I'll get more than coffee here in future...
We had a beautiful Sunday brunch at this local eatery (that also serves lunch and dinner). Small dining area with upscale decor and takeaway coffee and baked goods bar. They had a couple nice breakfast specials, but we went with the main menu. I had the eggs benedict with an interesting mustard hollandaise sauce that was not overly heavy or thickened; eggs poached perfectly. My partner had a big bowl of muesli with yogurt and a giant croissant with ham and gruyere that he loved. Seems they don't have regular coffee, but you can get any kind of espresso-based drink? Pretty good service, nice atmosphere... based on this experience we would come back and try dinner some other time.
I stopped by here today to grab a coffee with my friend - what a delightful little cafe this is. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, giving my 6 year old friend 2 marshmallows with her hot chocolate. The decor is funky and the coffee was awesome. I ordered a mocha and I have found most cafes these days can't seem to get the mix right, however Tiffany's were right on the money. I didn't have anything to eat, but the food looked beautiful and fresh. A lovely little place and I would definitely go back and recommend to others.
