Shifu Dumpling Express - Glen Eira

We were after something quick and we got it. Food was out at lightning speed. When I went to pay I was amazed at how cheap it was. Thank you for a quick cheap and cheerful meal.

Had lunch with kids today. Dumplings we're ok but nothing amazing. Soups were watery and broth not overly tasty. Singapore noodles ok but heavy on curry flavor. Every time I try somewhere other than Hu Tong Dumpling bar I am disappointed.

Seeking out dumplings in the heart of St Kilda on a cold Saturday night demanded for something quick, quality and not too hard on the wallet.Shifu reviews reasonably well and as such snagged my reservation.Coming in at 8.30pm I would of thought this place would of been busy, alas, we were the only diners (alarm bells starting to go off for at this point).First impressions; a restaurant that holds approximately 40 patrons; flashing coloured Christmas tree lights behind the booth to create a form of atmosphere and the bar at the front.The booth seats have seen better days, vinyl coming off.The wine and beer menu is adequate; prices are quite reasonable.The food menu was quite large and pricing once again quite reasonable.Food ordered;- Ginger

Not many people server rushing around she couldn't understand us and we couldn't understand her. Soup not many vegetables.very weak taste. Regular customer now to look elsewhere.made to a price not to quality.tried to be friendly not a smile.rushing around by waitress no ambience.

Service was quick and orderly although it was dinner time on a Friday evening. Had expected a busy restaurant as all neighbouring restaurants were full however Shifu only had three tables occupied and our order came out quite promptly. Fried Pork dumplings and chicken with prawn dumplings ordered and although tasted good the size was smaller than I had ever had and the chilli sauce was definitely out of a bottle most likely Fountain Hot Chilli Sauce so found that disappointing. Wouldn't visit again.
