Bidrage med feedbackGreat pub and bistro. is really busy. very courteous and friendly staff, as we had a group of 7 with some children/teenagers and put them in the back beer garden. good food and good choice of drinks at average prices. only at the bottom was that the people left the front and also in the beer garden. Many fans keep the beer garden cool. Easy online ordering and payment via QR code allows them to leave a tipp and split notes fit large groups really practical. in any case.
We needed to eat somewhere before a show in the palais and found this place on tripadvisor. what a result, we had the chicken wings, the fish tacos, the lamb lona bao with fries. the lona boa was the best I ever tasted. the personal (even if we were too late for our booking) was welcoming, welcoming and delivered our meal times in a timely way that enabled us to enjoy it without rushing to get to the palais theatre for the show (this place is near the venue) the music was a background melody of different genre that did not take up. the COVID problem has been treated politely and is part of today's life. the visit that remembers, it was a last minute extremely pleasant experience.
Has an amazing outdoor area out the back, and some great beers available as well. A really nice and relaxing place. Staff are great as well. Love the place.
Situated a hop skip and jump from Luna Park and St Kilda Beach, I have passed Lona many times, but today was the day I dropped in for a visit. The owner 'Charles ' [and siblings], a former butcher and multi restaurant owner is pure and...simply a down to earth, great guy. Watching listening to him interact with customers showed he was accomodating and friendly. I even heard some tourists say they were coming back later due to the reasonable pricing of beer! They used to have a restaurant called Barca Food Wine in Armadale [named after their favourite place, Barcelona] and this venue is the rest of the name 'Lona '. Clever idea. This particular venue has been open for 5 years and going strong. With the ability to sit outside, along the front windows, inside and out the back in the huge beer garden gives the public a smorgasbord of choice in any type of weather. They have a clever option of becoming a Member here with great benefits and discounts. You can have functions here too. Their bar is extensive and they serve their own beers from their brewery Sedley Sons plus offer live music everyday from 8pm. They have a unique food setting: brunch food, tapas, pub grub, Chef tastings and Vegan menus. And don 't forget the desserts and the kids menu! All at reasonable prices. Today I was lucky enough to have their champagne breakfast which consisted of: grilled asparagus, smoked salmon, 2 poached eggs, a wedge of lemon, homemade tartare sauce and toast; washed down by a long black coffee. Nicely plated and YUM! The coffee was nice and strong, the smoked salmon fresh, but the noteworthy items were: 1. The homemade tartare sauce plate licking worthy 2. The 2 poached eggs perfectly cooked [see photo]. That doesn 't happen very often kudos to the Chef! They are very conscious of their surroundings and it is clearly stated on what is expected of their patrons when sitting in the outdoor areas. There was a steady stream of customers during the hour I was there and they are still open for business at this uncertain time. Do yourself a favour and drop in you won 't be disappointed!
Service by Rob was excellent; he was very accommodating and friendly ... chicken tacos and their salsa is my favorite! I had a spicy margarita which was delicious. My husband enjoyed the enchiladas. I always get a side of vegetarian refried beans too. Definitely a...place to stop for great views and Mexican cuisine in Ft Lauderdale. Request patio seating.
