Tuscani Brick Oven Pizza - Glen Cove

Food is very good, Calamari in sause “diablo” is delicious!! Fruta di mare is soooo good and if you add the arrabiatta sauce, it is delicious.

My father loves Vito. He orders from there at least once a week. I also impressed the two times I left. The pizza is much too crispy for my taste (I had the chicken perfume disc and the baked ziti slice). Your pizza seems to be much thinner than other pizzas. Ravioli was pretty good, but was overcooked. If I cut it and then try to pick it up with my fork, it would fall apart before I could get it in my mouth. The bread that comes with the pasta is roasted REALLY. The Caesar salad was excellent. The selection of Gelato was also really good. Despite how full I was, I could not resist getting a shovel of cookies and Cream Gelato.

For several reasons, I call Vito’s Ristorante and Pizzeria “home”. Food, hospitality and service make you feel you are sitting in your own dining room. We have come to Vito for years and the food is always fresh, tasty and creative. Angela shares her recipes from her hometown in Sicily and we are always looking forward to something new in the daily special menu. The prices are great for the amount of food you get... There's always a lot and I'll take my rests home for another meal. My favourite is the Chicken Sorrentino with red sauce...moist, delicate chicken with thin slices of eggplants and prosciutto. Recently my husband ordered the Chicken Daniela over Broccoli Rabe with shrimps, thin sliced fried potatoes with lemon sauce. All Entrées are served either with pasta and your choice of sauce or salad. Order the salad with the house... it is to die and a secret recipe. I tried to copy it, but just don't seem to get it right! You can't go wrong to order something from the menu... seriously. The pizza is crispy and delicious. Above all, we like the grandma cake with its thin, crispy crust. Owner Mario (married to Angela) really knows how to make a pizza and is definitely the best around. Your son Vito manages the restaurant and does a good job. Vito’s is a real estate for Glen Cove and an excerpt among all other Italian restaurants and pizzerias. They won the 2019 Best of Long Island in 5 categories for wings, Mussels, Spinat Pie Sausage Peppersandwich as well as Best Dinner Deal. Every Tuesday is pasta night and you get your choice of five or six different pastas, soup or salad and dessert and coffee for $12. Go there as soon as the tables fill out quickly. If you haven't tried, Vito's, you don't know what you're missing... trust me. I am looking forward to coming back here weekly.

I wanted to thank Vito, Friday afternoon I ask him if he could provide 8 trays for a Saturday noon memorial service. He delivered the goods with 5 stars. Food was great. He came through last minute. Thank you
