I'm very sure gelato here is extremely pleasant though it is a real shame that my experience here couldn't even have a taste. On Zomato last night (Thurs) it stated this outlet would close at midnight. Late night drive with my partner for something special being lactose intolerant and reach there at 11:40pm. The store's outdoor lighting did not have strong attention grabbing brightness though we reached the door for a waitstaff leaning against the door frame wiping down a plate stated bluntly, "sorry we're closed". That's fine so I asked what the real hours were and she was once again very blunt saying "11pm" (must have really wanted to go home). Manager comes into the store from the parking lot as 3 customers of theirs couldn't get out of the 90min free parking (ticket was not recognisable?) I offered to help by getting a ticket to have the boom gate raise due to the faulty machines. There was no "thank you" from the manager for helping HIS customers OUT of a parking lot, he literally turned his heel and ran into the store. Could not believe it. Just with this unprofessional care (lack of duty of care or customer service) sadly I'm not even interested to return. Not being able to serve Gelato at that time was understandable to me - not a problem, I understand Zomato made a technical error but for the staff to be so bland and easily want to shut the store without helping the three customers was disgusting. It's a real shame but my partner and I will not be returning.
My roommate seems to spend half her life at Gelato Messina, and gave it an incredibly strong endorsement. After trying it for myself, I can understand why! I can only speak for the store at the Tramsheds, but the queuing is a bit of a disaster. It wasn't too busy on Saturday afternoon at the time I arrived with my partner, however, I have walked past on some evenings, when people are crowded outside the doors. There was a fight to be served, and it was impossible to get a close look at the gelato flavours without being rude and barging in front of people (thus creating somewhat of an aggressive cycle of cutting in)! This MUST be sorted out. The gelato itself, however, was excellent, and its taste appropriately reconciled with its premium image. I had a cup with both the salted caramel and white chocolate gelato and the chocolate chip gelato. Both were rich, smooth and creamy - as one would expect of good gelato. What really rounded out these flavours nicely was the way the respective chocolates were integrated into the ice cream. Unlike your traditional mixed-in chunks (a la Cold Rock), the chocolate was mixed in delicately, and melted in your mouth and flavoured the gelato as you ate. The closest comparison I can draw with this sensation is with Movenpick's white chocolate ice cream, however, I think Gelato Messina is superior. I'll definitely be back to Gelato Messina (hopefully to try one of their signature desserts), however, I really hope the store at the Tramsheds sorts out its queuing system soon!

Friendly service with the usual flavours and weekly specials found at Messina. I like boring flavours so I opted out for the Strawberry sorbet. It was refreshing and tasty on the waffle cone. I like how you can pay on card 'cause the one at Parra takes cash only. That's always a plus for me.
