Got a Mac Cheese Itison deal. Food was fantastic and huge portion. Staff were really friendly and genuine, first time here and will definitely be back.

Just popped in for a couple with my mate. So no cash taken, only contactless, which seems odd. In my local the reader goes down once in a while, so cash is acceptable as well. Don't know how they would cope if the system crashed, which does happen. Wee bit pricey as well.

We were looking forward to this visit to Glasgow’s oldest pub. Booked a table for 12:45. Service was slow to start then got worse. 50 mins for starter. Main course after 75 mins from booking. No time for desert because they needed the table back. Very poor customer service. “We’re very busy” they said. “We have a big table coming in”! Fine, but serve the table you need cleared quickly!!! We won’t be back !

We had not been out. for a while , so this was to be a treat for us. Despite it being April it was freezing, not helped by my current conditions (diabetes type 2 &Liver Disease). we booked a table the previous day, but didn't manage to get a booth , we had a table near door. it has 2 entrances , one through courtyard and the other through Argyle Arcade. so its not a cozy warm pub, its also very dimly lit. we ordered food and set up a tab , 1ST MISTAKE. unknown to us they automatically add a 10% service charge. i ordered the steak pie dinner with chips broccoli and peas. it wasn't bad but pricey at 12 pounds. My wife just had chips with cheese and gravy, this cost 7 pounds, again pricey for what it was. drinks are also dear 6 pounds for a pint and 12 pounds for a double gin and lemonade. its not a cozy pub so at no time did i feel relaxed and comfortable and despite 3-4 drinks did not feel any effects to justify the money spent. at around 76 pounds for 1 main a side and a few drinks i will not return in a hurry i think the included service charge is cheeky for 2 people sitting right at bar

Popped in for a drink and a bite to eat. Short staffed obviously as service very poor. Food less than average. Didn’t have the mac and cheese as not hungry enough but the small bites should have been brilliant. They weren’t. Won’t be going back.
