Bidrage med feedbackI am staying with my child and I have to give three stars to this restaurant. I was very pleased with the young lady at the front desk during the day; she was polite and helpful. However, I would have given only two stars if it were not for her. Unfortunately, the morning breakfast experience was rude. The staff checked our room and informed us we had to pay for breakfast, to which I agreed. However, they refused to let us in until we had paid first. I suggested we could eat and pay after, but they would not accept this. This lack of friendliness made me feel like running away, especially since they had all my details. Sadly, I will not be returning to this restaurant.
I do not recommend this establishment. The staff are mostly polite, except for one employee who works at night. There also seems to be an issue with parking despite them claiming it is free. The rooms are supposed to be cleaned daily, but that is not the case. The cleaning seems to be superficial as they only clean the same cushion covers and blankets without properly addressing the cleanliness of the room.
To be honest, I wasn't expecting much, but this hotel surpassed our expectations. The booking process was smooth, check-in was efficient, and the room was a good size and clean. The location was great for attending concerts, approximately a half-hour walk from Glockenturmpark where we saw Green Day. I'm usually disappointed by hotel breakfasts, but the buffet style full English breakfast here was delicious and, importantly, hot. In addition to the usual pancakes, cheese, yogurt, and muffins, there was also a nice touch with chalk. I can honestly say that this breakfast was better than one we recently had at a high-end hotel in my hometown of Newcastle. We will definitely return if we find ourselves back in the area.
Because despite the security through the reception (and the website that was included hotel parking, I was well hit with a £100 parking! I have submitted a formal complaint and was once again assured by the hotel that they would support me again. that complained came back from popla, suggesting that my appeal did not succeed. that's nothing less than the daylight cleaners. I will not keep the fine and I am really disappointed at the failure of the hotel to provide evidence that they have assured me.
Do NOT stay here unless you are not bringing a car. Absolute shambles, parked in their car park and checked car in at reception to then receive a parking charge we’re not getting out of. Emailed many times to no reply, phoned hotel to talk to one of your employees on the phone where I was basically dismissed on the grounds of ‘we have been having issues for months regarding customers being charged by civil enforcement for parking and it’s got nothing to do with us even if you park in our car park, we’ve been getting a lot of bad press for this’ absolute JOKE. Do something about it then! Who on earth is running your establishment that they haven’t rectified this issue? WHY is this not being passed onto customers pre booking and arrival, you LET us log our car in at the reception of the hotel with no warning of what might happen. Actually watched me do it!!!! Absolute shambles and will Be passing on your very unprofessional service far and wide. Still waiting for a reply from management from June WOW
