For the 3rd year running we have popped in to the Foyles for a few beers after our canoeing trip. The first year we all popped into the pub and had a few drinks before going to bed at the campsite opposite.We had a lovely few drinks and the staff were fantastic. Last year we did the same and were greeted by the bald owner or so he said, who was really rude and totally obnoxious. We thought it rather odd as to why his attitude and manner was this way, however we only popped in for a pint and thought he must be having a bad day. (Really bad day). We would have stayed but he made it so obvious we were not welcome so we left. This year , once again we went on our river trip and after a day on the water decided to pop in and have a few drinks. To our delight the delightful owner who is just the bar manger was again behind the bar. Once again he was absolutely horrendous. He made it perfectly clear that we were not welcome. Gave us short measures and we pointed out that he was very rude last year and why was he being like this again. I am the Boss he said. I have to point out that we are not a group of louts we are all middle aged professionals and if I owned this establishment I would terminate his employment immediately. So if your thinking of popping in and are rather partial to a arrogant bald chap with no people skills then this is the place for you. Service: 1 Hotel highlights: Quiet
