Milkcow is a Korean dessert chain that specializes in organic soft serve ice cream. They’re located near the Richmond Oval. I always thought it’d be similar to Soft Peaks so I wasn’t dying to try it but they also have souffle pancakes now which peaked my interest. The cafe is spacious and bright with seating for about 20 people. They serve about 12 different varieties of soft serve and 2 seasonal flavours. Most of the options are around $6.50.
These desserts did justice to the cravings of our sweet tooth. The portions are for sharing. Plating is nicely presented and they taste very good too. The gold plated cutleries are worth mentioning in this review coz these made our dining experience fancy . The lady server we had was friendly. She recommended the watermelon and we enjoyed it too. Parking is at the back.
Yummy must-go dessert place in Richmond! There is one parking lot nearby so it’s convenient for those who drive. Look small from the outside but it is actually bigger inside. Clean and decent place with two huge monitors showing Korean music videos all the time. Cute paintings on the wall that depict their tasty dessert that make people drool while waiting for the food. The wall all the way inside, behind the counter has very romantic stickers of trees and a phrase that says “Love Forest”. We ordered one lava cake, which is $11, and one small strawberry bingsoo, which is about $10.75. The server said strawberry, and melon and cheese bingsoos are the two most popular here, so we picked strawberry. And she was right! The strawberry bingsoo was filled with sugar-coated strawberries, with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream on top and sweet shaved ice at the bottom with a little bit of strawberry sauce. Everything blended in perfectly that we couldn’t help it but finish it in such a short period of time. The lava cake was huge! It was literally a cake like those birthday cakes in the bakery, with some banana pieces on the side and chocolate sauce all over them. There were also two scoops of vanilla ice cream, one on top and on on the side, and some whipping cream. The cake was cut into small cubes to make it easier for us to eat. It was filled with chocolate when we cut it in the middle, and it tasted soooo good! It was not too sweet though there was chocolate sauce every where, which I really like : . However, it got quite messy as the ice cream started to melt and the chocolate in the middle mixed with it. Service was quite good compared to the Sulmida I went on Kingsway, whose service was the worst ever! They also had different options for tips which did not force you to tip at least 10% for them.
I ordered a chocolate shaved ice with some berries in it and it was delicious! Also got some of the toast stuff that they offer and it was delicious. All of the staff were very friendly! They also have a TV playing a bunch of really good korean MVs. Their music playlist is also super good too. Just be careful if you get the chocolate shaved ice thing that I got in the picture, if you engage the cocoa powder it's like you're doing the cinnamon challenge and you just kind of start coughing a bunch.. at least it tastes good though
