Tony's Lunch - Girardville

You have a better chance of winning the lottery than finding this place open. Once again, my time was wasted when they closed early. They should sell the restaurant to someone who is willing to put in the work.

After hearing about this place years ago, I was thrilled to finally try it out! Despite Google indicating it was closed, Yelp confirmed it was open on Thursday and Friday, so I decided to go. It was definitely worth it! This restaurant truly embodies the essence of a local hotspot. The owner knew many of the patrons by name and provided friendly and helpful recommendations, which I gladly followed. The "screamer with fluff" dish was a perfect combination of sweet and spicy, and the portion of fries served was enormous. I appreciated their efficient system of taking a number and quickly serving orders. Overall, I can't praise this place enough - it's a rare gem in today's world of constant connectivity.

We came from the Philadelphia area for a vacation, which is to say we had no idea where to eat around here. So while scrolling google maps to make a list, I found this place was beyond interested. It did not disappoint. We arrived shortly after 6 and felt a little confused at first about how the operation works. Cash only. Grab a number. Wait for a table to open. Snag said open table (respectfully). Wait for the waitress. Order fluff screamers with cheese, fries chocolate milk. Enjoy! Spicy as hell so you need that fluff! It’s an experience. There are other burger items on the menu, which my husband who doesn’t love spicy food will gladly enjoy while I scarf Screamers. We came expecting to wait for a table, so weren’t off put by that. It’s worth it anyways!

I can't stop thinking about how amazing and special the screamer with fluff is. It's not just a typical beef patty with sweet and spicy flavors. It's absolutely delicious. I can't speak to the rest of their menu, but the service is great and efficient. This place is only open two days a week right now, and there's always a line forming about an hour before they open. Make sure to grab a number as they're only open until they sell out. The atmosphere is unique to Girardville, Schuylkill County.

Very interesting burger, the hot sauce was very good and adding the marshmallow fluff gave the sandwich a different taste. Will try
