Bidrage med feedbackHad a bottle of her weine for lunch in watervale and thought we would like to taste more of her wein. it was checked that her cellar door was open what it was after website. the journey back to clare. all look good, a few sandwich board signs that lead us to the cellar door. these signs said the cellar door was open at 16:00. it was 2:30 when we arrived. cellar door was not open, but had a sign to either ring a bell or make a call. I did the last. the owner answered, he went back and the cellar door was closed. he would only open for sale, but would not do tasting, despite signage saying that tasting was available. we have to miss it despite every intention of buying. rather poor form here. recommend they try elsewhere as we will be in future.
Dreadful rude service of lisa, not worth money. platter were very underwhelming would have so much better not enough meat and beautiful cheese! it was all on special of woolworths. the cost was too much for what we should get!
A beautiful place among the trees to have a pizza dinner and pizza dessert with some great crying. we were a group of 21 and the service was fast and the staff pleasant.
Fantastic family lead weingut. excellent wine and delicious wood fire pizzanine. a beautiful place to spend a afternoon under the icy tree. they were here at several locations, always consistently good and very friendly service. lisa, craig and her family make a wonderful job.
The cellar door experience was ruined by the owner. We visited on a busy public holiday, tried some of their wines, and decided to stay for lunch. When we tried to order pizzas, the owner Lisa rudely told us that we couldn't have pizza without ordering wine. We explained that two members of our group were driving and didn't want to order a full bottle. Despite our plan to purchase wine to take home, Lisa insisted that we buy wine at the end of our meal. This behavior left us feeling disgusted. Some of us decided not to purchase wine to take home due to the owner's rudeness. The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful, and the handmade wood fire pizzas were decent, though not traditional. Personally, I didn't enjoy the wines, but others in our group did. The unpleasant service overshadowed the overall experience. In Clare Valley, there are many other cafes and restaurants with great food and likely better service.
