Sushi Ave - Gilbert

I absolutely love their rolls- Great taste and presentation! The ultimate California roll is a must try. Don't confuse them with Sushi Ave Express on Baseline.Food: 5/5

I definitely liked this sushi restaurant. I'll go back. It wasn't the cheapest sushi, but it was pretty tasty. 3 rolls, 3 nirgir, and one jalapeno poppers about $60. Nirgir fell apart, and the tempura rolls didn't have much tempura on it. Jalapeno poppers were very cream cheesy, so good!Food: 5/5

This is one of our two favorite local Gilbert sushi places that we are regulars at. We think it’s a good value with good food and good prices. Our fave is the Sushi Ave roll which is saucy, sweet, and a little spicy. We usually balance it out with A French Kiss roll which has tangy ponzu and is spicy too or with an Over the Rainbow roll which is very fresh tasting, with lots of different fish.Some of my favorite items are:Sushi Ave Roll (Spicy, sweet, crispy)Over the Rainbow Roll (Fresh tasting, balances out saucy rolls)French Kiss Roll (garlic ponzu, spicy crab, spicy tuna, super white tuna on top)Arizona Roll (Little sweet, little spicy)King Kong Roll (deep fried eel, crab mix, cream cheese, avocado, yellowtail, crunch, eel sauce, yum yum sauce)My guide on how I use the 5 star system: Not good Not terrible, but would not get again Solid, but I’d try something else before this again Really liked it! Great sushi,great happy hour prices on sushi,always fresh. My family loves the King Kong roll and Arizona roll. They also have good teriyaki chicken. They are fast considering sometimes there is only 1 waitress waiting on the entire restaurant. The waiters are always running doing their best. They turn tables quickly. We find it better to get there before 5:30 to avoid a wait.

Hole in the wall place, happy hour all day and great prices on rolls. We love the potstickers and miso soup! Went yesterday around 3pm and it was slow and got our food super quick. I always bring friends here and will continue to do so because it’s exactly what you want from a local sushi spot.Food: 5/5
