While I was there, I noticed two guys at one of the tables who had just received their food. One of them was making those satisfying sounds that indicate a meal is really delicious. This encouraged me to go ahead and order at the counter since it’s a self-order and pickup setup. This made me question the presence of a tip jar on the counter. I ordered the beef taco and burrito combo, which comes with refried beans, rice, and a 20 oz drink, for over $15 with tax. After about 12-15 minutes, a young lady at the counter nodded to let me know my order was ready. I approached to pick up my food, but she stepped back, leaving me to ask, "Doesn't this come with a drink?" Clearly uninterested, she replied, "Yes, what do you want?" I ordered a Coke and then sat down at the only somewhat clean table. Once I began eating, I found the food to be truly great! In summary: Humberto’s serves up some delicious meals, but unless they give the place a thorough cleaning and hire a friendlier staff member for the counter, I recommend getting takeout.
