Da Tzia Matilda - Gergei

Just round the corner from our B&B, walked there in the evenings and enjoyed great home-made pasta and pizza at very reasonable prices. Food is delicious here!

Fortunately oor the diners, this place is never overcrowded. Gergei is a small village an hour from the city of Cagliari where one can enjoy nature at its finest, and eat the foods of the region. Located in the center of the village and across from e municipio, its easy to find and you can enjoy their pizza and other dishes depending on what's fresh. The staff is friendly and re is one bed and breakfast nearby so e resturNt is an easy stroll. Prices are fair.

Visited twice. Great pizzas, in fact up there with the best I have ever eaten. The house wine is also very good. Good prices.

An evening of joy for the four of us at this fabulous village pizzeria. You can tell that the food here is good by the steady stream of villagers coming by to pick up their take-away orders. We chose to eat in the restaurant and enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. All four of us had excellent pizzas, followed by tiramisu. The lady who runs Da Tzia Matilda is very welcoming and a lot of fun.

The food from the place is really no comparison to any other cities I have been to in Sardinia. I thought being in a small town, it would have been more authentic and tastier. Maybe the pizzas are good, since I saw many locals order them. But the entrees are really not very good. If you are starving at night in this town, maybe just order pizzas and get a bottle of wine to go.
