The Boondocks Eatery - Georgina

After doing some research for restaurant around the area, I found this place and it has a very high rating. I'm glad to have found this place for a great lunch with my family. Great portion with reasonable price. Also great taste !!!! They even have a good selection in the kids meal.

Came here for lunch after docking our friend's boat. It's spacious with a patio. It's right by the water so if you arrive by boat, you pretty much have this restaurant as an option for a quick bite. It's reasonably priced pub food. Servings are pretty generous.

Lunch time on a Sunday wasn't busy and we were the only ones eating inside for a while. I got the beer battered fish and chips and it was kind of dry and flavourless. The batter was good but didn't like the fish. Their tartar sauce has dill in it and found it to be more subtle than others. I did really like the fries as they were crispy. The thing that could make the price worth it is the size of the dish more than enough for one person.

New management and ownership in the last couple of years with a really nice new menu that still offers a few of the most popular options Stopped by for lunch on a Sunday and it was pretty busy which is nice to see PIC had the Butter Chicken and I had the Classic Reuben; I was so excited by the Reuben as it 's one of my favourite sandwiches. The Reuben had most of the ingredients that you 'd expect EXCEPT even though the menu states Russian dressing mine was served with Dijon mustard it was super tasty and perfectly grilled on marble rye but wasn 't really Classic Reuben The Butter Chicken looked fantastic with an abundance of big chunks of chicken breast; PIC tells me it was delicious Staff were all friendly and attentive, this is a really nice location for out of towners who want to sit lakeside and watch the ferry We 'll definitely be returning to sample more of this great looking menu Highly recommend

The location was nice, but the restaurant needs a good cleaning and a fly control device. There is good variety on the menu perhaps too much. The kitchen was very slow. It took just under an hour from our arrival until the food arrived. Some real misses: Calamari. Tough and tasteless. Soggy. Suspect oil wasn't hot enough. Peach Salad. Peaches tasted canned and weren't grilled properly. Awful vinaigrette. What was wonderful: mussels fish and chips catfish chickpea curry They should reduce the menu and stick to what they do well. They also need to stick to the basics. Clean. People were nice.
