Walker's Cafe - Georgetown

The food at the restaurant was tasty, but the service was awful. I witnessed them turning customers away at 11am, claiming they were closed even though they don't close until 12pm. The service was consistently rude and unwelcoming. Our server immediately discouraged us from staying, saying we would have to wait too long for our food. It was clear from the start that we were not welcome. I would not return. However, the home fries were delicious.

The food was excellent and the service was top-notch.

I often visit this restaurant for breakfast and sometimes for lunch. I am a local and I really enjoy their reuben, fried chicken club, and crab cakes (depending on my hunger levels) with French fries or a similar side for lunch. For breakfast, I like my eggs over medium with crispy bacon and home fries. Everything I have tried here has been delicious. I appreciate the relaxed atmosphere that is located right on Front Street in the Historic District. After eating, you can take a stroll along the boardwalk behind the cafe, along the Sampit River, go shopping at the charming stores, or simply enjoy the view.
