Lamar's Fish Chips - Georgetown

I had fish and chips, choosing flounder. Delicious! Food was served hot, French fries crisp on outside and a bit soft on inside, making them perfect for me. My friend also ordered Coleslaw, which I seldom eat, but tasted hers. I would order it. It wasn't swimming in mayonnaise.

Tried the cat fish nuggets very generous portion a bit fishy but did enjoy the flavor of the batter very meaty. The founder was super tender great flavor. My wife enjoyed the shrimp. The French fries and hush puppies were on point delicious. Priced to portion size. Seating capacity 20.

I've been coming here since I was a. Kudos and always loved it. I haven't been here in ten years and it's still very very good. However the shrimp have changed. They used to have a totally different taste and look that was uniquely different from anywhere else and if that didn't change I would have given them 5 stars...This is still my goto S.C. fish joint especially if they got SPOTS... (They put a hurtin on that) ???

I've been living in Georgetown all my life and this has always been the best seafood in Georgetown. The breakfast is wonderful personally I love the seafood platters that they serve at lunch they are spectacular have plenty of food in it enough to eat off of

Breakfast hit and fresh. My alligator bites were golden fried. The grits were nice and creamy. I'm never disappointed. Just Southrrn Hospitality at its finest.
