A K's Place - Georgetown

We visited for our third and final time today and ended up walking out. It was disappointing to find that half of the breakfast items were marked out with a magic marker, and all the prices had been crossed out and replaced with new, significantly inflated prices written in ink. This is frustrating for customers who expect the standard menu offerings. They are consistently short-staffed, which is common for mountain businesses, but it seems like they aren’t making an effort to improve the situation. I’m really upset about this because I wanted this place to succeed, but with the current lack of management, it seems likely that they may join the list of other struggling businesses in the area.

Wow, I just had the best experience at this restaurant! The relaxed atmosphere and the funny interactions from the staff made the visit even more enjoyable. We tried the chicken sandwich, which the kitchen staff affectionately called “the sexy,” and let me tell you, it lived up to its name! It was both delicious and impressive. You can really tell that the team here genuinely cares about the quality of the food and their customers. We had an amazing time!

Charming atmosphere in a historic home, but the food quality is lacking. We ordered the T-Bone Steak and Eggs cooked medium rare, but instead received a well-done, tough steak that was overly seasoned with a salty BBQ spice, along with mushy tater tots and eggs. We also tried the Fried Chicken Sandwich, which was acceptable but not memorable. I would recommend looking for a different dining option.

The chicken sandwich was delicious. Period. A Jurassic version of a chicken sandwich of your dreams especially after a dizzy hike up Bierstadt.The ambiance had this cute grandma mountain town Victorian home feel, so you already know the fried chicken is going to be solid. Now what is knocking off the 5th star is the fact we waited for our food for 40 minutes, with tables who sat before us being served first with the same items. Now was being tired and hangry amplifying the wait? Yes. But is 40 minutes a long time to cook food for a menu that is %85 fried? Also yes hence the 4/5 stars. Will still be back because that chicken sandwich was a godzilla of deliciousness. But fair warning, you might have to wait.

Excellent service, and friendly comfortable atmosphere. The food was amazing and totally worth the experience! Ask for recommendations on what to order on the menu, they won't steer you wrong.
