La Turquoise - Genève

When I went by with my sons, the steaks saw at a great price, so it went in. He was immediately served by a very nice lady and the food was delicious. The steaks were perfectly cooked to UK 'medium rare', but we asked for 'bien cuit ' (well...done) how the French/swiss cook their steaks. The chips were nice, salad was nice and fressh but the steaks were so delicious!!

If you are from anywhere but Switzerland, you know the term FOOD COURT from which the Swiss know nothing. When you come to Balexert, your food options are limited to McDo, a few sandwich sites, etc., all distributed over the shopping center. Tucked... away near the post is a jewel of a place. Yes, the service can be slow during lunchtime. And yes, the waitresses are not always top levels, but this is not a 3-star restaurant. Food is very good, comes from half an open kitchen, so you can see where your food is. One of the waitress is a Turkish beauty queen and is very friendly. Meat is good, serving more than okay. All come with white sauce and a house made, more sharp red sauce that looks like salsa, but the taste is definitely Turkish. They carry wine and beer, including yeasts from Turkey. We love this place when we can eat here, as it is often full. It's worth finding him!

Cafeteria style, food quite ok, and price is fine. Service is calamitous though, waitresses hardly speak french and have a very impersonal behavior.

Have eaten lunch here several times.. The plat du jours are always great and very well priced. Everything i have eaten so far has been fantastic.. by far the best low priced middle eastern restaurant in Geneva.. The sauces bread are great, all the...ingredients are very fresh.. Way better than parfains de beirut or any other central place.

Doner Kebab is Doner Kebab, so long as you're not having it in Istanbul, it will taste almost the same. But if you like this kind of food, then you'd appreciate the convinience of having it for lunch while shopping at one of Geneva's (and...propbably Switzerland's) largest shopping malls; (Balaxert).
