Bistrot Metropole - Genève

A Geneva Gem! I recently here with two friends after work. We were looking for a central spot that offered great food and wine, and this place did not disappoint! Tucked between two pedestrian streets, it offers outdoor seating and a beautiful, softly lit interior. Cosy and elegant, it’s ideal for dining with friends, colleagues, family, or a date. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the owner, who escorted us to the chef’s table and offered us an aperitif. The view into the bustling kitchen added an extra layer of excitement to our dining experience. We started with the scallops and beetroot. As someone who has always been on the fence about beetroot, I can now truly say I’m a convert! The dish was not only beautifully presented (see photo , but surprisingly tasty. I opted for the honey-glazed duck (cooked to perfection and finished with the homemade strawberry and basil sorbet as the perfect palette cleanser to round out a delicious meal. Run don't walk to the Metropole restaurant! (note: not to be confused with the nearby hotel of the same name.

Understated elegant atmosphere that transports you to the seaside. Great atmosphere, reminiscent of a colourful fishing town on the coast with boat loads of character. I had the swordfish tatami and was blown away by the flavours, such a creative dish, I would recommend it to anyone who ventures in. I had the duck for my main and it was a fete for the palate! Could not recommend this place more highly, the servers are full of charisma and the owner Paul, will ensure you have a great time!

If you are looking for a lovely and elegant place, with a modern french menu, great wines and professional people, choose this restaurant. everything is at a high level and it really seems to be in France.

Sehr schickes Pariser Bistro-Ambiente mit einem qualitativ hochwertigen und gut portionierten Tagesgericht. Es ist schade, dass der Preis etwas hoch ist, aber vor allem fehlt ein Vorhang am Eingang wegen der Kälte. Schließlich der Grund, warum ich einen Stern abziehe, der Zugang zu den oberen Toiletten ist für Menschen mit Behinderungen unzugänglich.
