Some of the old cinema projectors were there on display together with movie posters, and possibly the old window from the cinema ticket booth was still there as a window to the kitchen. Very interesting for me as a movie fan! Not sure where the cinema itself used to be as the café inside isn 't big enough for a cinema audience, but maybe a very small one was all they had. A good selection of teas, coffees and some cakes. Big pots of tea possible! Most seating is on old cinema fold-up chairs, which after a while aren 't so comfy, but quite adequate for the purpose. Outdoor seating too, though it is next to a busy main road so not much reason to sit out there. Go inside instead! This is one of those places I have walked past many times, but as so often happens is one I should have stopped at long before now. Recommended!
Tea wasn't worth the money spent...Couldn't taste honey and fresh ginger
The place is typical. Didn't change much since I first visited 10 years ago... They have a nice garden at the back. Do not try to park in front, this is reserved car park for the owner and the staff may get aggressive if you do. Service in general has proved to be slower recently...
I've had one of the most delicious hot chocolate there. They serve both a real hot chocolate (nicely creamy, not too sweet) and chocolate milk (cocoa like drink). The place is just oposite the Oliva Park entrance, so it is very convenient for some hot drinks after or while taking a walk.
Coffee and cookies were great! But the service forgot part of my order. It's ok if they would check in sometime. But the reply was a cheap justification for the inconvenience instead of being sorry or apologetic.
