Bidrage med feedbackThis was the best meal we've had in Gavle! The main courses are half portions, so you can order two different items - which is worth it because they were all very good. We recommend the wild boar sausage, the steak (tender and perfectly cooked), and an exceptional Mac and cheese. The local beer was good, but the whisky was even better. We will definitely come back when we're in a good mood.
It took 10 minutes to place our order and the waiter did not acknowledge us. There appeared to be no teamwork among the staff. Such a disappointment.
We ordered online, thinking it would be a nice meal after the whisky tasting. Very disappointing experience: we received a small board with a piece of blue cheese, a few jams, and some slices of what seemed to be specialty cured meat. Just four olives, no bread. We requested bread and were given four small slices of sweet bread. Overall, not worth the price. How can they serve this without bread?
We went here to celebrate the closing of a big project. we wanted something different than just dinner. this is one of the few local places that most of us did not visit before. our group was 21 people and we reserved a tour, whisky and dinner. we had all the space for our group. personalized tour guide was very knowledgeable and great interaction with the group detailed whisky informations during the tasting meal was well prepared and tasted excellent suppe with mushrooms, bark meat filet and chocolate cake overall a very good visit. I'd go back.
We were around 60 people for dinner. We were served beef that should have been tender! But for almost most people the meat was bone dry, best described as an insult to the raw material! The 2nd glass of wine was served when most people...were finished eating. The wine, a simple Côtes du Rhône, had large bottle variation.
