The Best Italian On The Parkway

A nice authentic Italian place to try some quick pizza and other garlic knots in a busy place. It?s a bit expensive and be careful while tipping cause they just bring the pizza to your table and everything rest you need to get on your own. We triedItalian Flag with veggies which were add-ons $2 each veggie you add). Pizza was yum but I think they need to improve on thegarlic knots.

I don?t like to give bad reviews because I know it?s hard to be a business owner much less running a restaurant, however this place was horrendous. The name ?Best Italian on the Parkway? is a lie; there are several smaller pizza stops that serve muchbetter pizza for a fraction of the price. The Calzone I had was all bread and hard, the cheesy bread was thin, and hard. Mywife?s Fettuccine Alfredo was bland and not warm. Needless to say we didn?t finish nor ate half of our $45.00 meal; speaking ofthe price, they asked for a tip when we ordered? after you pay when you order then you get your own plate, napkins, plasticdinner ware (seriously), and then fix your own drink in a styrofoam cup (truth) and then seat yourself. What am I tipping for? You don?t tip at a low end fast food restaurant, why here? Before my wife and I got up and left a family sat at a table next to us who?s half of the table had carried in Subway? I envied them.

They have really gone down hill and charge much more. It is no longer an upscale wait table restaurant rather it is like a fast food order and seat yourself place while you wait for your order. The two $25 calzones cheese was still hard, not melted. Garlic balls hard. Kids fries greasy but $15 small cheese pizza fair. Certainly not worth $85 for 2 adults and 2 kids.

The food is delicious! For downtown Gatlinburg, the prices are very reasonable. We ordered garlic knots and an 11? cheese pizza. On the pizza, the amount of sauce and cheese were spot on, the crust tasty and cooked perfectly. The accompanying saucewith the garlic knots was lightly spicy. Yum! We would have liked more garlic and parmesan on the garlic knots. Will definitelyreturn!

Salad and pizza was spot on. One of the best cesser salads ever had. Hand made dressing. Price was right as well. Love pizza on the strip.
