The food is ever changing, with some very delectable specials. This is by far the best lunch spot in the Hull area close to Place du portage and Terrace area! Highly recommended to all!

A colleague & i have a lunch date pattern where we buy a few items in single serving size & share them. Our experience at Zest was one of our best so far. We ordered the daily soup - rice, chicken and cilantro, a sandwich - grilled smoked turkey, red pepper jelly & cheese on multi-grain bread, salad - arugula, blood orange segments, nuts & all sorts of other goodies, plus soda. Our shared bill was $33, including tax, and we ate like a king & queen! The staff divided the meal for us and served it beautifully presented on two plates. Everything was fresh, the flavours were lively & intriguing without being disconcerting or threatening bad breath for the return to work, and the amounts were generous & satisfying. The soup was, paradoxically, both light & hearty, without turning into a gumbo, the salad was the promise of spring, & the sandwich had lots of gooey cheese & lots of flavour. We arrived early & thus snagged one of the few seats i n the tiny interior, especially given the line-up that grew from noon onward. In the summer they have small outdoor patio tables as well. while the company of my friend undoubtedly helped, my meal here was definitely the highlight of my day!

Had a quick lunch here and sat outdoors on the patio.Food: superb: we had turkey Panini with pear and brie - was out of this worldService: plates were brought to the table and included a nice surprise: some nan bread with a crushed olive tapa which was very tasty.Drinks: we ordered the house lemonade, never had one that tasted quite as good. It's reddish color was a bit surprising but the taste was perfect.Stand up bar eating indoors, tables outdoors,Deserts: looked very good although we didn't order any.Staff: helpful and very attentive.Costs: a bit above what you would normally pay for lunch but well worth the extra dollars.On our way out, we encouraged another couple hesitating about the place...Worth a try...
