Troquet - Gatineau

Excellent venue. Loved the large open windows, and patio option. Wonderful vivacious section of old Hull. Prices a tad high, but that could just be our expensive times...

This was within walking distance for us and wasn 't busy so we decided to try it out. I had the PPPB panini which was good however the fries were soggy. Not sure if that 's typical b/c we had soggy fries at another restaurant in the area and we 're used to crispy ones. My partner had the garden salad which did not come with dressing. Our server did not offer choices so we assumed it came dressed. Not the case. When we asked for dressing, she said I have balsamic and something else. Not feeling adventurous enough to go with something else , we asked for the balsamic. We got balsamic vinegar. No oil, not balsamic dressing, just vinegar. Service was indifferent.

Great service. Had a bacon burger and was great. Good price on food and drinks. Will definitely recommend it.

There were 4 customers in this place and 2 servers... all 4 of us customers were stuck waiting with empty drinks and waiting for bills.Fellow at the bar, literally in front of the bartender had an empty beer so I asked him what was going on... he had asked for another Heineken twice he said in both languages and was still waiting.Our table was English, guy at the bar was French so bad customer service in both languages.We won't be back.Girls that work here are extremely pretty though.

Great little place,and fantastic food. Didn't have any beer but it's apparently known for its selection!
