La Squadra - Gatineau

The squadra is a real Italian cuisine restaurant where the chef concocts tasty recipes (very good grilled calamar or tasteful scalope of lemon veal and capers, for example). We received a good welcome, however, the restaurant room, very large, is noisy.

Salmon linguine excellent but not sure why it took an hour. Waiter brought wine and excellent bread but then nothing til dinner one hour later. Tipped accordingly but I think he didn't get it. I tip 25% when happy FYI.

We spent a wonderful time with fine high-quality dishes.Lasagne, fish, excellent pasta! Don't worry, it's great!

I've been there four times and I've always been very well served. food is excellent, especially mussels with tomato sauce. The service is impeccable. the menu is quite varied to satisfy all tastes. I'll definitely go back.

The most remarkable point of this restaurant is its service. the staff is overwhelming and the service is excellent. We never missed anything at the table. food is also excellent for those who love some spicy Italian food. the menu is varied in all that is Italian. for those who expect pizzas that are all garnished or pepperoni- cheese with pizza pro, well you will be disappointed. but for those who love the true Italian pizza, you will be delighted. The pasta is also excellent. The prices are still quite honeous but their kitchen is worth the cost. for two people without wine about $60. the atmosphere is also excellent despite a lack of intimidation between the tables given the size of the restaurant. Parking. being located on a very busy boulevard, it can be difficult for you to park nearby and especially without paying!Finally, the squadra deserves the detour!
