Bambou Restaurant - Gatineau

I order Bamboo to forget once a year how disappointed I was last time. Then I'll complain about how bad it is for two weeks. I ordered about the holiday as I had enough to cook. It was really not very good. I command a peanut butter chicken and it had a liquid sauce that barely tasted from peanut butter and the chicken was cut only cubes without seasoning. The sauce was terrible. The hack Suey was Bland and was missing. The chicken roast rice seemed old and had no taste or charm. The Chow Mien was fine and seemed fresh with many vegetables. So I would suggest that you carefully select your elections and adhere to the standard thing. My bill came to $60 and they'll charge $2 for the delivery. Too expensive for such Bland food cooked without heart. Never again for me!

Small and ok buffet, nothing big or unusual, but had basics that you would expect from a vhinese buffet. Rice and soup were in Crock pots and spices/ sauces in Tuperware... could find much better for the same price elsewhere.(19$ friendly service.

We ordered out for 5 people. It arrived quick. We had 6 different meals. Only two were good: lemon chicken general tso. The spring rolls were cold and undercooked.

Went to Saturday lunch buffet, arrived at 1:00 pm. Looked like leftovers. A few containers were empty, no more chicken soo guy. I asked the waiter for more soo guy and I heard him order it in the kitchen. After 1/2 hour wait, we never...got it. When the waitress asked if we wanted anything else, I asked about the chicken, she said well, the buffet ends at 2:00 pm. So don't go for the lunch buffet past 12:30 cause you will have to eat whatever is there and you won't get anything else. So why pay for buffet when you get a limited choice as empty containers are not refilled.

Having lived in Aylmer, had a business there and actively participated in the local chamber of commerce over the years I have had the pleasure to enjoy the BAMBOO RESTAURANT food for many decades for meetings and friendly outings. The food is always excellent and...the service always courteous and with a lovely smile! Price is terrific and value excellent! The Bamboo Restaurant is one of the very good eateries in Aylmer (Gatineau)!!
