El Tapatio - Gatesville

Really great lunch! I was excited about the yummy thin and crispy chips and salsa. So many times the chips are hard or stale. And the chips came with 2 dishes of salsa-nice cause you always run out. Our meals were served up quickly with nice plating. Food was piping hot. And great flavor. This restaurant does a good amount of steady business getting people in and out. The wait staff very friendly and helpful. Lunch was really good, great service at reasonable price. We will definitely be going back for more visits. Definitely need to try more items on their menu. I hope all their restaurants have the same great taste. They will definitely be our favorite Mexican restaurant from now on.

We got here at 7pm and there was seating available. We ordered our food rather quickly service was the best part of the experience, when our food arrived it was hot but the beams were soured, the rice was hard as if undercooked and tasted as if they had been under a heat lamp all day. The main entree was greasy, salty, and made me sick I couldn't finish the enchiladas. I refused the beams and rice. I would not recommend this place and will not be returning. When we paid for our food the cashier said she would give the tip.to our waitress instead he turned and we watched him put the money in his own pocket and not give it to the waitress so we tracked her down and gave her her tip. Awful place

It's places like this that means me glad we stop in our long drives. The service was quick and friendly and the food was great! Too many good things on the menu...i went with the Birria, and it was worth it. I did see other faves that I'll have to go back for.

Menu looked good. We stopped in for a quick snack on our bike trip to Fredericksburg. The menu is a bit pricey. We spent 40.00 on 2 teas, 1 shot of Tequila, a piece of cake, and a small guacamole.

Nice little place to eat. The staff was friendly, and an important part of any place I eat at was that the tables and floor were clean. The food came out very quickly and was delicious. A nice selection on the children's menu which is important because I have very picky granddaughters. My wife like the sweet tea, and I have to say that the Unsweet tea was also very good. I will eat at this location again.
