Long Neck - Gate

This place certainly held itself out as a bar that I could sit down and have a beer at, which was helpful considering that the last time I caught a plane out of Perth was something like 8:30 in the morning. Like a lot of places in Perth this one has some rather nice beers on tap, and it certainly is a quiet place for a drink, but then again I suspect that that has a lot to do with it being Perth.

I don't usually write reviews but feel inspired by my experience here. I waited at the counter and was ignored. Two flight attendants arrived at the counter and were served immediately ahead of me. I ordered a coffee and a ham and cheese croissant. Approximately 10 minutes later the coffee arrived. Soon after the kitchen staff placed my order on a bench and rang the bell for the counter staff to collect. The bell was ignored, even by the counter staff member who was in the kitchen at the time. Two minutes pass and I walk over to collect my own order no one notices. The croissant had been microwaved, and had the consistency of a deflated balloon. The coffee was pretty good, but as I paid around $15 for the experience I was pretty irritated. Thought about returning the food, but my flight was being called, waiting in the queue at Toby's Estate next time.

Over priced coffee and very ordinary. Message to Aussie airports. If you’re going to charge exorbitant prices everything should be really good. Correction it should be Great !! Rip off.

What? My Virgin flight to Geraldton is delayed for two hours! I've just flown from Melbourne and I'm tired. Hmmmm....an Espresso Martini will revive this old gal. Yeah, $18 each but now I feel pretty good. Seriously large, strong and stylish cocktails here and I used the free wifi to watch MAFS Season 3, Keller and Nicole making me cry. Staff were a bit grumpy and disengaged a bit like Dave with Jess so I enjoyed my date with a cocktail, like Jess. But seriously guys, if you smile and play the day passes more quickly.

Great breakfast. Coffee is a good standard, better than i would expect grin an airport cafe with a captive audience. Price is a little above the average but nothing outrageous for an airport. Nice atmosphere and a relaxing place to wait for a flight while grabbing a bite. Recommended.
