Bidrage med feedbackA beautiful location overlooking vineyards. The building is a bit ramshackle and maze-like. But the staff are friendly and reasonably efficient. There isn't a menu as such. The waitress tells you what there is, all seemingly homemade and traditionally Spanish. Cocas are very popular but very big and many people took half home wrapped in silver paper. The bread is spectacular, but avoid eating too much as the portions are large. Most main courses are rice based which seemed pretty good. Wine is chosen from a table and they don't seem to hold much stock. All the other diners were Spanish and all seemed to be regulars which recommend the place to me. .
It certainly is rustic but if you eat well it doesn’t matter. It’s been a long time l haven’t eaten so badly!!! Unfortunately our friends thought the same . Dry rabbit, dry rice .. the lemon tart .. god did they loose there chef . You go in hungry and come out hungry !!!
We have come to this place once or twice per year since almost 20 years ago. I have never been disappointed with the menu, price or attention. This is one of the most authentic places in the surroundings. Tasty local food: salads, groceries, meat balls... and as real stars of the menu: rices and “cocas” made in the moment. The variety of wines and gins is one of the widest in La Marina. Really advisable. Gilders really welcome.
Excellent spanish food. We had mixed tapas followed by Cocas and a delicious chicken in tomato dish. However be warned, the Cocas are the size of a pizza, rather than the small ones we were used to buying from our local baker. The only drawback is that there is no written menu, so it is not always easy to understand the verbal selection on offer, and no idea of price either. Although the cost was reasonable for the quality of food, it would have been much more relaxing for us to take our time choosing from a written menu, especially as our spanish is fairly basic.
One of my favorite restaurants of the area. Lovely location in the mountains, rustic restaurant, really fresh food and everything homemade, i loved the salad, octopus, snails, the freshly baked cocas and the arroz al horno, the dessert was really nice too baked pumpkin and pumpkin buñuelos with mistela shots. Amazing.
