Tex-mex Back Road Grill - Gastonia

Went for taco Tuesday and was pleasantly surprised. We are vegetarian and they can make a bean taco or an avocado taco- both were tasty. Be aware- it is very small inside, so plan accordingly. The staff was quick, kind and helpful.

We decided to try a place we've been eyeing for a while and stopped in this eatery for an early supper. I had the chicken street tacos and my guy had the nachos. That plate of nachos was full and piled high, and he ate every last bit. The chicken tacos were stuffed with chicken and topped with onions and cilantro. I asked for the hot red sauce out of the sauce selections. A squeeze of lime and a little of that sauce and those tacos were absolutely delicious! Would go back in a heartbeat. Great place.

Great local place to grab delicious food, with awesome service and a cool vibe. Even when calling in an order it’s always ready without 10-15 minutes.

Tex-Mex Back Road Grill is my 1 Gastonia, NC to eat. I have been a loyal customer x 7 years when they opened in my neighborhood. The foods are cooked to order. The family who owns runs it are now friends. They often cater to my being a gastric bypass person who eats very small amounts, as I hate throwing foods away. Their prices are very fair. Recently they have begun opening on Sundays for breakfast lunch. They have regular 'burger joint ' foods and then half the menu is with a more Mexican flare...Mexican juice drinks foods abound. Their newly menu 'd Esquite is the BEST around that I have tasted!! But, best of all, to us, is that their sanitation rating is ALWAYS a 97+ top . The restaurant is ALWAYS packed. I could not be happier to support such an eatery!

This is great little tex-mex restaurant. Great food , service and atmosphere. The food was up fast and it was wonderful. Friendly and professional servers. The menu has plenty of options. Definitely a must stop.
