Bidrage med feedbackI was not satisfied with my dinner at this restaurant. I ordered the chicken philly and was disappointed for several reasons. The chicken was too tender and fell apart because they used the wrong broth. There was also no cheese, just dry chicken. By the time I got home, the veggies were soggy. The pommes were cold and similar to McDonald's fries. The same went for my daughter's cheeseburger, fries, and my son's dessert. For an average of $10 per person, I expected better quality. I would not recommend this restaurant and think there are better options such as JJ's, Rico's, or even Subway at the truck stop.
The gyro was better than the one my wife had at the lemonade stand down the road. Unfortunately, the customer service at the lemonade place was terrible. Jasnaks didn't have rude staff, but they lacked the level of customer service that would make you say "wow, these people are really nice". It felt more like they took your order, took your money, and then you were on your own to eat. It's Gary, so you can't expect top-notch customer service. I learned that you either get easy service or bad service in this area. My family enjoyed the gyro and chicken wings, but since I don't eat meat, I'll have to try something else next time. I gave them 3 stars because they weren't rude like most businesses in Gary, but I expected more for a reopened restaurant. It's also worth noting that only men work there, so they may not have the best customer service skills. I used to be a restaurant manager for 15 years, and I know that a friendly smile goes a long way in the service industry. They could definitely improve their business if they had better customer service. Hopefully, they can make some changes and avoid falling into the same poor service as the lemonade place.
I highly recommend this restaurant for delicious homemade fast food. The Italian beef is especially fantastic and a must-try!
I was not impressed with the food at this restaurant. I ordered the chicken Philly and was disappointed on multiple levels. The bread was wrong, making it soggy and falling apart. There was hardly any cheese, just dry chicken. The veggies were wilted and soggy by the time I got home. The fries were cold and unappetizing. The same goes for my daughter's cheeseburger and fries, and my son's nacho fries. For $10 per person, I expected better quality. I will probably not return, as there are better options such as JJ's, Rico's, or even Subway at the nearby truck stop.
My wife thought the Gyro from the restaurant across the street was better than the one we had at Lemonade place. Unfortunately, the customer service at Lemonade place was not great. Jasnaks, on the other hand, didn't have rude staff, but they lacked that special customer service touch that makes you feel really welcomed. It's more of a take your order, pay, receive your food, and leave kind of experience. This is Gary, so we can't really expect exceptional customer service. In my experience living here, it's either simple service or bad service. So far, my family has tried the gyro and chicken wings. Since I don't eat meat, I'll be trying their sides today or tomorrow. I gave them a 3-star rating for not being rude like most businesses in Gary. However, I was expecting more from a newly opened restaurant. It seems that only men work there, and most men don't have the same level of customer service skills. As a restaurant manager for 15 years, I believe that having a friendly and smiling staff can make a big difference. I hope Lemonade place doesn't end up having the same poor service in the future.
