I don 't know how all the previous reviews are positive. I was here a couple of days ago and I have to say it was a huge disappointment. There were two of us, we started by ordering the fish appetizer: we are served a ramshackle assortment of frozen fish in oil, together with a scallop shell filled with anything but scallops and a disgusting minced fish sausage whose taste it recurred constantly until the next day. However, hopes were high for the maccheroni del Pirata, creamed in a form of Grana. Here I have to admit my fault, in the sense that, if I had thought about it more carefully, I would have realized that ordering a dish cooked in the same wheel of Grana (moreover, not refrigerated and located at the entrance to the restaurant) in which I having previously cooked countless similar dishes, would not have been the best of ideas. In any case, the end result is embarrassing: macaroni drowned in a sour tomato sauce saturated with pepper to the point that the flavor of the cheese, paradoxically, is almost invisible. The only positive note of the evening was the service: the waitresses are kind and helpful, so much so that when asked Are you okay? I was sincerely sorry to report my disappointment. Moreover, the bill was almost more salty and difficult to digest than the terrible macaroni. In conclusion, to be avoided.

I 've been remembering the Maccheroni del Pirata for years, seasoned directly inside a wheel of Grana, they are really good!
