The Bench - Gardiner

The experience was quite strange. The noise level felt unusually high, despite the fact that there weren't many patrons, and the sound from the six TVs (all tuned to the same channel) was muted. The bartender was very attentive and continuously apologized for the fruit flies that seemed to be a problem. On the bright side, parking was convenient, and the margaritas were truly delicious.

The chicken sandwich was essentially undercooked, the mac and cheese tasted like it was made with plain flour, and a glass of wine cost $14. Does that sound appealing to you?

This has become my go-to spot. It truly embodies what a neighborhood bar should be. No frills, no pretenses, just good food at great prices. It might be a bit of a dive, but isn’t that exactly what a neighborhood bar is all about?

Good food, good drinks, good prices, very friendly staff, great atmosphere. Great place to have a few drinks!

The staff bullied and harassed a patron for being a little slow, and when the issue was brought to his attention the owner began harrasing anyone who pointed it out.
