Good food, authentic Japanese skewers BBQ. Gizzard skin is hard to find. Be prepared to spend at least $50 per person without alcohol. I liked all the dishes.

I really don’t want to write this, but I feel I must. This restaurant was a huge letdown, and I can’t believe how highly rated it is. I feel completely misled. I didn't enjoy a single piece of yakitori; everything was tough, dry, and poorly seasoned. Even the side dishes seemed carelessly prepared. Japanese cuisine demands attention to detail and finesse, but none of the food reflected that. The chicken soup tasted like it had just been boiled at high heat without any real flavor or cleanliness. I’m honestly shocked. The restaurant has glowing reviews about its alleged yakitori mastery and was packed with Japanese patrons, yet nothing impressed me. As someone who is Japanese, cooks Japanese food regularly, and has lived in Japan for half my life, I know good yakitori, and I’m baffled by the positive reviews this place has received. Maybe I just visited on an off day, but I won’t be returning. I’d much rather go to Shinsengumi or Hachi.

The yakitori here is outstanding. They offer a fantastic variety of chicken skewers and other side dishes. The selection of beer, wine, and sake is quite good too. I highly recommend pairing the grilled dishes with a nice beer.

This is a solid yakitori restaurant with excellent chicken wings. The ambiance is minimal, and while the food and yakitori selection are decent, the overall layout could be more comfortable due to limited space and seating options. The yakitori itself is of high quality and very authentic. On the plus side, parking is convenient, and the shopping center offers plenty of alternatives if you can't find a table. Although this place received a lot of hype, I plan to return; however, I prefer Koshiji for its wider variety of appetizers, greater selection of meats, and more comfortable seating and climate control.
