Bidrage med feedbackThis is my first visit to TSR since before the onset of the pandemic. It's been a while. Nothing has changed except no sitting at the counter now.I stopped by on Saturday 1 July after my trip to the gym. I had lunch and ate by myself. Not much of a crowd at 12:30, probably because it's the July 4th weekend.I ordered the pulled pork sandwich lunch special, which comes with a drink and fries. I also ordered a side order of green beans. When my order came I was impressed with the size of the sandwich. They use really thick sandwich bread which has a nice flavor. The sandwich also has colle slaw on it, which is also tasty. I found the pork to be cooked perfectly, with a nice flavor and the proper amount of moisture. The fries were seasoned just right. Now, about the green beans. They are the best I have ever had in a restaurant, period. Cooked perfectly, seasoned exactly and very, very tasty. I asked my server, and she verified that the restaurant does buy these beans fresh and cooks them in-house. I am impressed. All in all, this is a great place to eat. I love the food and the service and the ambiance.Next time, I won't wait three years.Highly recommended.
I can 't rate the food here unfortunately. We came on Father 's Day so of course it 's busy. But I 've never had a place tell me they wouldn 't serve the meal I wanted from the menu because the kitchen staff was grumpy . I 've heard great things about the food and *might* give it a second chance. Hopefully I can actually eat there this time.
Best bbq I've had in Orange County. I grew up in Kansas and Texas so I've got some bbq street cred. I've tried around a dozen bbq places here in OC and The Smoking Ribs is, hands down, the best. Texture and flavor are important components in any cuisine, but especially bbq. I really love how the meats are juicy and literally do not require a knife to cut! Had a full rack of baby back ribs and some hot links. Super friendly vibes from the restaurant workers- they even shared how to best reheat the ribs when I got home (200-250 in oven for 10-15mins with a bowl of water underneath the meats for steam).
Nice restaurant that has a lot to choose from. I really liked the Brisket. It was juicy and tender. Eating it alone tasted great, but with their hot bbq sauce, it was amazing. If I were to comeback, I would order the boneless sampler. The two ribs I got in the sampler I got were decent. It was really fatty. I wasn't a big fan of the fried chicken. I wish it was seasoned a bit more. The baked beans was my favorite side, and the mashed potatoes were really good as well. I kept seeing photos of the blueberry cornbread, so I ordered that. If it was warmer, I think I would've loved it. Overall, restaurant is great. The employees were attentive and really nice. I would come back if I was craving bbq again.
Best BBQ hands down I have had in OC! Excellent food and reasonably priced. Our new go to.Food: 5/5
